In 2018, Cultured Books deepened its connection to the community by establishing a monthly book club, starting with the timeless play A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. Following the reading, participants experienced the power of live theater with a trip to the American Stage Theater to watch the play. That same year marked major milestones as we received the keys to our building, opened a permanent Sunday pop-up at The Well, and officially incorporated the Cultured Books Literacy Foundation to expand our mission of promoting literacy and cultural connection.
